2012 ~ Leagues ~ 2012

Men's 50ish
(Wednesday evenings, 6 to 8 p.m.)

Players are not required to be members of King's Grant Racquet Club. Non-members will pay a non-member fee for each match.

Rules:

– Player must be 50ish
–
Player must be rated a 4.0 or lower
– Player must register for a team.
–
Player must be available to participate in two matches between June 13 and Aug. 29.
–
On Wednesday evening, teams will play one match
–
Each team must have a minimum of 6 players (8 players preferably)
–
 USTA rules are in effect for all matches.

Format and Fees: .

– Each team match will consist of three doubles competitions
–
Each match will be two out of three tie-breaker sets with a super tie breaker used for the third set if necessary.
–
All sets won will be used to determine the ranking of the teams.
–
All matches must be completed by July 25.
–
A fee of $10 will be charged for each of the Wednesday sessions (court time, balls and a beverage). Fees are to be collected by the team captains.
–
Team captains are responsible to report all scores to the league directors, John Maloy.

USTA SENIOR 60 LEAGUE  

Players are not required to be members of King's Grant Racquet Club. Non-members will pay a non-member fee for each match.

Rules::

– Player must be 60 years old or older

Player must be rated a 4.0 or lower
–
Player must be a member of the USTA
– Player must register for a team online at www.USTA.com
–
Player must be available to participate in two Saturday afternoon matches (June 30, July 14 and 28, Sunday if it rains)
–
On Saturday competition, teams will play two matches (One match at 1 p.m. and second match at 3 p.m.)
–
Each team must have a minimum of 6 players (8 players preferably)
–
USTA rules are in effect for all matches

Format and Fees:

– Each team match will consist of three doubles competition
–
Each match will be two out of three tie-breaker sets with a super tie breaker used for the third set if necessary
–
All sets won will be used to determine the ranking of the teams
–
All matches must be completed by July 28.
–
Sectionals are scheduled for Sept. 14 to 16 in Burlington, Vt.

A fee of $10 will be charged for each player in the Saturday sessions (court time, balls and a beverage). Fees are to be collected by the team's captains.

NEW: 3.0 WOMEN'S DOUBLES LEAGUE, 50-and-over

Players are required to be members of King's Grant Racquet Club.

Rules:

– Player must be 50 years old or older
– Player must be rated a 3.0 or lower

Player must be available to participate in two matches on Wednesday mornings (June 13 to Aug. 22)
– Each team must have a minimum of 6 players (8 players preferably)
– USTA rules are in effect for all matches
–
Team members must agree to play both home and away matches.

Format and Fees: .

– Each team match will consist of three doubles competition
– Each match will be two out of three tie-breaker sets with a super tie breaker used for the third set if necessary.
– All sets won will be used to determine the ranking of the teams
– All matches must be completed by Aug. 22.
– A fee of $10 will be charged for away matches (court time, balls and a beverage). Fees are to be collected by the team’s captains.

– Each team must have a minimum of 6 players (8 players preferably)

– Each team match will consist of three doubles competition
– Each match will be two out of three tie-breaker sets with a super tie breaker used for the third set if necessary.
– All sets won will be used to determine the ranking of the teams
– All matches must be completed by Sept. 4
– Sectionals are scheduled for Aug. 12 to 14 in Hadley, Mass.
– A fee of $10 will be charged for each away match and non-members (court time, balls and a beverage). Fees are to be collected by the team captains.
